The rate of return varies depending upon your specific policy, its duration and your billing frequency. For information, please call 866-503-4487.

Q: What happens if I stop paying my monthly premium? How much would I get?

The payout amount depends on when you stop paying (also known as surrendering your policy). If you are past your policy's midway point (for a 10-year policy, the midpoint is roughly five years), you would get back all the money you paid in.

Q: Is the guaranteed payout taxable?

The Gerber Life Insurance College Plan does generate taxable income. In some cases, estate or inheritance taxes may apply. We’ll send you a statement (Form 1099) to file with your taxes — please consult a tax advisor.

Gerber Life Insurance Company will not issue insurance for any proposed insured when a Power of Attorney or Guardianship exists on the proposed insured, except legal guardians of children.

Benefit amounts are subject to Gerber Life Insurance Company overinsurance limits. A Buyer's Guide to Life Insurance and a Policy Summary are sent with all policies. You can get them without applying for insurance by writing to us.
