Being a mom isn’t easy. Cooking, cleaning up and providing for your child take time, work, energy and dedication. Maybe you’re balancing a job (or jobs), too.

Perhaps you know moms who always bake “perfect” birthday cupcakes, throw lavish parties for their child or sew beautiful, flawless costumes for school plays, all without seeming to break a sweat.

Have an honest conversation with any mom, however, and she’ll tell you that perfection is a myth. Besides, having a “perfect” mom isn’t what children truly care about in the first place.
