How Your Child’s Photo Could Help you Win a $1,000 Gift Card

January 31, 2012

Gerber Life Supports Children’s LiteracyWouldn’t it be nice to win a $1,000 VISA® gift card just for sharing a photo of your child? That’s what will happen for one lucky participant in Gerber Life’s Project Open Book.

Project Open Book is an initiative where parents can upload a photo of their child into a mosaic on the Gerber Life Facebook page. In return, they will be supporting childhood literacy and entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $1,000 VISA® gift card. For every photo uploaded, Gerber Life will donate $1 to Reading is Fundamental (RIF), the nation’s largest non-profit organization supporting children’s literacy and which provides books to children in underserved communities across the country. The goal of Project Open Book is to raise $10,000 for Reading Is Fundamental.

“Given our focus on helping young families build a brighter financial future, specifically through our Grow-Up® Plan and College Plan insurance, Reading Is Fundamental is a natural partner,” says Wesley Protheroe, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gerber Life. “Their mission to support literacy and learning is consistent with the purpose of the College Plan – to provide an easy and secure way for families to save for college.”

Add your photo today and tell your friends to do the same! Project Open Book runs through February 13. To enter, visit the Gerber Life Facebook page and follow the directions to upload a photo. Participants may enter only once. A winner will be selected by random drawing of all eligible entrants. The grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 VISA® gift card. Two first place winners will each receive a $500 VISA® gift card.
